Hello :)
My name is Bella. I'm a Ph.D. student at Princeton University, working with Prof. Natalia Vélez in the Psychology department. Before joining Princeton, I worked with Prof. Kalanit Grill-Spector at Stanford University and Prof. Henrike Moll at USC. I received my MA in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and BA in psychology from Boston University.
Broadly, I'm interested in studying how children reason and learn about themselves and the world around them. I'm particularly interested in children's causal reasoning and learning using behavioral and computational methods.
Outside of research, I enjoy spending time in nature (hiking & camping), reading, doing soothing art projects like 'paint-by-number' and hanging out with my furrrends (check out their photos in 'For Fun').
For the last two years, I also enjoyed serving as a co-host for the Stanford Psychology Podcast, and it was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. If you are interested, please check it out here!
